High Level Movers moves refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves and ovens, dishwashers and similar household appliances. Commercial appliances and equipment can also be assessed. Single-appliance jobs are accepted subject to the standard three-hour minimum.

02 · APPLIANCES AND USE CASES

APPLIANCES AND USE CASES

Kitchen appliances include prepared refrigerators, freezers, stoves, ovens and dishwashers.

Laundry appliances include drained washers and dryers with cords, hoses and loose parts organized.

Single-appliance delivery can move one ready unit from a seller, store, home or other collection point under the normal minimum.

Household relocations can incorporate multiple appliances into the wider inventory and route plan.

Commercial equipment is supported when dimensions, weight, condition, preparation and access are assessed.

03 · SERVICE BOUNDARIES

SERVICE BOUNDARIES

HLM can perform simple connections or disconnections that do not require cutting or modifying pipes or plumbing. Gas appliances must be professionally disconnected and reconnected by the customer or an appropriate qualified professional. Do not expect the moving crew to perform licensed gas fitting, electrical work or complex plumbing.

Built-in appliances can be transported after they are properly disconnected, removed and made ready. HLM does not arrive to extract a built-in unit from cabinetry or complete unplanned trade work.

The moving scope covers agreed preparation for handling, loading, transport, unloading and placement. Final connection responsibilities should be clear before the move.

04 · VANCOUVER ACCESS

VANCOUVER ACCESS

Appliance dimensions must be compared with condo elevators, doors, corners and loading routes. Customers reserve required elevators and arrange building access. Confirm whether the moving vehicle can use underground parking or must load elsewhere.

Downtown properties may have limited curb access and longer carries. At houses and hillside properties, disclose exterior steps, slopes and narrow entries. Rain can make appliance routes slippery, so keep walkways clear and identify exposed access.

Regional pickup or delivery can involve bridges, tunnels and traffic. Provide exact addresses and municipality names rather than treating all Metro Vancouver locations as city neighbourhoods.

05 · APPLIANCE PREPARATION

APPLIANCE PREPARATION

Defrost refrigerators and freezers in advance and manage water according to manufacturer guidance. Drain washers and other applicable units. Empty contents, remove loose shelves or trays when appropriate and secure cords, hoses and parts with the correct appliance.

Arrange professional gas disconnection and reconnection. Ensure built-ins are already removed and ready. If doors or handles may need removal for access, discuss this during quoting rather than assuming it can be decided at the doorway.

At destination, confirm floor protection needs, final position and required clearance. The planned location should be ready before the appliance enters the room.

06 · MEASURE THE COMPLETE ROUTE

MEASURE THE COMPLETE ROUTE

Record appliance width, height and depth, including protrusions. Check origin and destination doors, hallway corners, stairs, landings, elevators and loading openings. Consider protective handling space, not only the bare appliance dimensions.

Identify flooring, thresholds and any change in level. A unit that leaves one property may not follow the intended destination route. Photos can help assess narrow or unusual conditions.

For collection from another party, confirm the appliance is disconnected, empty and available. Provide a pickup contact and verify whether packaging or loose parts are present.

07 · QUOTE INFORMATION

QUOTE INFORMATION

Provide appliance types, quantities, dimensions, known weight, condition and readiness. Share origin and destination addresses, floors, stairs, elevators, parking, loading points, carries and final placement.

State whether the job is one appliance or part of a household/commercial move. Identify trade work already arranged, simple connection questions, built-in status and storage needs. The standard three-hour minimum applies.

Cost depends on item requirements, crew, access, travel, preparation and related services. Incomplete readiness can prevent the planned move from proceeding as expected.

08 · OUR 01–06 APPLIANCE PROCESS

OUR 01–06 APPLIANCE PROCESS

01 — Identify the appliance Provide type, size, condition, readiness and both addresses.

02 — Review access Check doors, stairs, elevators, loading, carries and final position.

03 — Clarify responsibilities Confirm draining, defrosting, gas or trade work, built-in removal and any simple connection scope.

04 — Prepare the unit and route Complete customer tasks, organize loose parts, reserve elevators and clear pathways.

05 — Move and transport Handle, load, transport and unload the ready appliance under the agreed plan.

06 — Place and verify Confirm destination position, components and any separately arranged connection work.

09 · COST FACTORS

COST FACTORS

Appliance type, dimensions, weight, quantity and condition influence handling. Stairs, tight turns, elevator windows, long carries and restricted loading affect labour. Travel, storage and integration with a larger move also affect scope.

Trade preparation is the customer’s responsibility where required and should not be confused with moving cost. Request a quote using real measurements and access details.

10 · COMMON ERRORS

COMMON ERRORS

Do not leave defrosting or draining until arrival. Never assume movers will perform gas work or remove a built-in appliance. Avoid measuring only the unit while ignoring handles, doors or turns. Do not omit destination access.

Keep hoses, cords, shelves and hardware identified. Confirm seller readiness for a pickup. Report a substituted appliance because different dimensions can change feasibility.
